CIPC Practice Note 1 of 2024: Proof of physical address of Companies and Close Corporations

Section 23(3) of the Companies Act, 2008 (Act 71 of 2008) (“The Act”) requires each company or external company to maintain at least one office in the Republic and register its address. From March 1, 2024, the CIPC will require certified evidence of the registered address or principal office for certain applications to ensure the correctness and reliability of submitted information.
