CIPC Notice 31 of 2024: Verification of customers when appointing directors

In its ongoing effort to enhance efficiency and maintain the integrity of registry data, CIPC has updated the customer verification process for appointing directors. Recently introduced verification measures have caused some clients difficulties, particularly during the second phase of verification when processing director changes.
To address this, CIPC has streamlined the director verification process to be handled on the back end. This change aims to alleviate frustrations and ensure a smoother experience for clients without impacting the processing of director changes.
