• CIPC updates deadline for SA business to comply with beneficial ownership

  Monday, 2 October 2023: All South African companies and entities were required to submit beneficial ownership information to the CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission) before 1 October 2023. If you didn’t meet the deadline, you have a grace period until your next CIPC annual return is due, but then you’ll need to complete the process within thirty days to avoid falling foul of the new rules and risk penalties.
