# How to delete a company from your profile

||| Have greater autonomy over your account with the Remove Company function.

**Note of caution: ** Ensure that all records are downloaded before deleting them off InfoDocs. Reinstating companies can be done but only if there is reasonable proof of ownership and or administrative rights to the records.

**Step 1: ** From your profile enter the company you would like to delete in the search bar on the top right-hand side. Click on the **Edit** option and then select **Remove Company** from the drop-down that appears.

**Step 2:** A window will pop up to ask you to confirm whether you would like to remove these records. Click **OK** to remove.

**Step 3:** The company records will be removed from your profile.

The billing will be for the month in question and will cease from the following month.
