# CIPC Notice 38 of 2024: Payment reference for direct deposits

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) emphasizes the importance of using the correct reference when making direct deposits or Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) to their ABSA bank account. The correct reference, specifically the customer code, is crucial for CIPC to allocate the funds to the correct customer. Without the correct reference, deposits remain unallocated.
