Why has the converted company not updated on InfoDocs?

When a company has been converted from a CC to a (PTY) LTD, you might find that the company’s details on InfoDocs haven’t changed.

The company on your profile in InfoDocs will not automatically update. Instead, you will need to add the company with its new registration number to your profile in order for all the new details to pull through from CIPC. This is to ensure that the company’s records are kept safe, and gives you the freedom of keeping both old and new records in one place for administrative purposes.

Follow these simple instructions:

Log in to your InfoDocs account here. If you don’t already have an account, register for a free trial.

Step 1: Go to your portfolio’s Dashboard, and click on + Add Company, To add the newly converted company with its new registration number, simply

Add the company as you would any other to your profile.

Step 2: Go on Dashboard and conduct a search of the company with the old registration number. Proceed to right-click on it (making sure that it’s the one with the old registration number), and click on Remove

Step 3: A warning will pop up encouraging you to make sure you are deleting the correct company. Click on “OK”. 

Now your profile will only contain the updated records of the newly converted company and you can continue managing your company records as usual.
