How to change a member

InfoDocs is the only company secretarial software to integrate with CIPC, allowing you to appoint and terminate members directly from the company dashboard.

On InfoDocs you are able to appoint and resign a member with the click of a few buttons. Once CIPC has approved of your member appointment or resignation these changes will reflect directly on InfoDocs.

Appoint a member 

To appoint a member using InfoDocs all you need to do is follow the below steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the company you would like to make the changes to and click on the Members tab

Step 2: After that you should click on the Appoint Member option located under Actions

Step 3: You will now be required to complete the member details in order to appoint the member. If the member has been already appointed as a member or director on another company on your InfoDocs Profile, you can simply search for them by using the Individual Search option. This option will pre-populate all the member’s details for you, saving you a lot of time! If this is a new member you want to appoint, you will be asked to complete the member’s Full Name, ID/Passport Number, Race, Gender, Contact Details, and Residential Address. 

Step 4: Once you have completed the member details select Next. 

Step 5: You will now be asked to fill in the appointment date of the member. If there is a specific date the member was or is going to be appointed simply select the correct date located under Date Appointed. InfoDocs also gives you the option to the option to give the member Title and to choose the Occupation Level of the member. Once you have completed these details click Next. 

Step 6: After selecting Next, you have to complete the Members Interest and Contribution. You can also add another member by clicking on the + Appoint Another Member option. If you do not wish to appoint another member select Save. 

Step 7: All you have to do now to complete the member change is click Submit to CIPC. Your member change will then be sent to CIPC and you will then receive an email with the relevant CK2 along with all the other required documentation needed to approve the member amendments. 

Step 8: Congratulations you have successfully submitted your member change through InfoDocs. Simply select Close to continue using all the other amazing features InfoDocs has to offer. 

Terminate a member appointment

We know that terminating a member can be a time consuming process and that you have to submit a lot of documents to CIPC. InfoDocs makes this process so easy, with the click of a few buttons your member appointment can be terminated in one… two… three… Just follow these easy steps. 

Step 1: Navigate to the Members tab and click on the member whose appointment you would like to terminate. 

Step 2: Once you have identified the member, simply click on the Terminate Appointment option unter Actions. 

Step 3: You will then be given the option to select the Date Resigned as well as the Reason for Termination. You can choose from the following: Resigned, Retired, Deceased, Removed and Disqualified. Once you are satisfied with the details click Save. 

Step 4: After selecting Save, you have to complete the Members Interest and Contribution. You can also add a member by clicking on the + Appoint Another Member option or if you wish to terminate another member appointment by clicking on the + Terminate Existing Member. If you do not wish to appoint or terminate another member, select Save. 

Step 5: InfoDocs will then ask you to edit the additional member details, after editing their details select Save. 

Step 6: If you are satisfied with the changes you have made, select Submit to CIPC. our member change will then be sent to CIPC and you will then receive an email with the relevant CK2 along with all the other required documentation needed to approve the member amendments. 

Step 7: Congratulations you have successfully submitted your member change through InfoDocs. Simply select Close to continue using all the other amazing features InfoDocs has to offer.
